pour sa grande solidit\u00e9, sa transparence et sa r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 et aux produits chimiques. Il est un polym\u00e8re semi-cristallin, ce qui signifie que sa structure comporte \u00e0 la fois une phase amorphe et une phase cristalline. Les r\u00e9gions cristallines du polym\u00e8re sont responsables de sa grande r\u00e9sistance et de sa rigidit\u00e9.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Le PET est largement utilis\u00e9 dans la production de fibres pour les v\u00eatements et de films pour l&#8217;emballage alimentaire, mais aussi pour les fibres industrielles, les films et les feuilles, ainsi que dans le moulage par injection, le moulage par soufflage et le thermoformage. L&rsquo;une des applications les plus connues du PET est la production de bouteilles de boissons gazeuses, en raison de sa l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9, de sa solidit\u00e9 et de sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9sister \u00e0 la pression de la carbonatation. La r\u00e9sistance \u00e9lev\u00e9e du polym\u00e8re \u00e0 l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 et aux produits chimiques le rend adapt\u00e9 au stockage des liquides et des aliments.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;histoire du PET remonte aux ann\u00e9es 1930, mais ce n\u2019est qu\u2019en 1941, qu\u2019un brevet a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9pos\u00e9 pour le processus de polym\u00e9risation de ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments constitutifs afin de produire un nouveau polym\u00e8re, appel\u00e9 \u201cpoly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne t\u00e9r\u00e9phtalate\u201d ou PET. La production commerciale de PET a d\u00e9but\u00e9 seulement dans les ann\u00e9es 1950, et dans les d\u00e9cennies suivantes, plusieurs am\u00e9liorations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 apport\u00e9es afin de rendre la production de PET plus efficace et plus rentable. Dans les ann\u00e9es 1970, les chercheurs ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 explorer l&rsquo;utilisation du PET dans la production de fibres pour l\u2019industrie du textile, ce qui a conduit au d\u00e9veloppement d&rsquo;un nouveau type de fibre\u00a0: le polyester. Cette nouvelle fibre est rapidement devenue populaire dans l&rsquo;industrie gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa grande solidit\u00e9, sa durabilit\u00e9 et sa r\u00e9sistance aux plis. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, le PET est utilis\u00e9 dans une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d&rsquo;applications et ses propri\u00e9t\u00e9s uniques en font un choix durable pour de nombreuses
