utilis\u00e9 dans diverses applications en raison de son excellente combinaison de propri\u00e9t\u00e9s. Connu pour sa grande r\u00e9sistance aux chocs et sa flexibilit\u00e9, il est id\u00e9al pour les applications o\u00f9 la r\u00e9sistance aux forces ext\u00e9rieures est prioritaire. Le PEBD est un mat\u00e9riau l\u00e9ger et de faible densit\u00e9, ce qui le rend facile \u00e0 manipuler et \u00e0 transporter. Il poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement d&rsquo;excellentes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de barri\u00e8re \u00e0 l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 et aux gaz, caract\u00e9ristique id\u00e9ale pour la fabrication de produits d&#8217;emballage. Il a un point de fusion bas, ce qui le rend facile \u00e0 traiter et peut \u00eatre produit dans une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de couleurs et de textures.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Le PEBD a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvert en 1933 par deux chercheurs souhaitant d\u00e9velopper un nouveau polym\u00e8re en ajoutant \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne de petites quantit\u00e9s d&rsquo;un produit chimique. Ils ont ainsi d\u00e9couvert qu\u2019ils pouvaient cr\u00e9er un nouveau polym\u00e8re de faible densit\u00e9 et plus souple que le poly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque. Dans les ann\u00e9es 1940 et 1950, le PEBD a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour les produits d&#8217;emballage tels que les sacs et les films en plastique gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son faible co\u00fbt, sa flexibilit\u00e9 et sa durabilit\u00e9.
